This article talks about the improvements in health care for the people of Afghanistan.

Health care is seeing tremendous improvements in Afghanistan’s eastern province of Paktya where two hospitals are currently being constructed. They will be able to hold 120 beds, which will more than double what the province currently has (three hospitals with only 110 beds in total). It is the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Bayat Foundation (national humanitarian organization) putting up the funds for these hospitals. USAID is putting up $7 million. More hospitals are planned for the future, most notably a small one in Gardez city (with a commitment of funds from the government of Pakistan) and in the past the World Health Organization (WHO) funded a tuberculosis center.
