Sports Wins in Afghanistan
A country always likes to hear about one of their sportsmen representing their country internationally and succeeding in their game. So when Afghan Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter, Siyar Bahadurzada defeated Carlos Alexandre Pereira in the first round by KO (knock out), the people of Afghanistan could really sit back, smile and take great pride. On a personal level this was great news too. It meant that Bahadurzada improved his record to 17 wins! But he is not just doing it for personal gains. Before the fight he wrote on his FB profile that “he would try to make his fans proud again.” Well, for sure the people of Afghanistan would be proud of their heritage with someone like Bahadurzada representing them. Someone like Hamed Wardak who is always working toward the betterment of quality of life for Afhgans would be equally proud.
