Construction Developments in Afghanistan
A few weeks ago, a report from the Pajhwok Afghan News (PAN) came in with information about the inauguration of a new courthouse building in Kunar, northeast Afghanistan. The building – that took 16 months to complete, at a price of $440,000 – will have three floors and is being constructed for the Asadabad Court of Appeals. America funded the building which will comprise 30 admin rooms, 3 kitchens and one conference hall.
In terms of education there is good news too. In Panjshir (also located in northeast Afghanistan), students will no longer have to sit in tents and learn, but will be able to sit comfortably in a regular high school in Faraj, Anaba which be equipped with 16 classrooms.
Clearly education is key when it comes to developing potential. Individuals, such as Hamed Wardak, have been working towards the establishment of educational facilities in Afghanistan for many years. The above news is a great start for the improvement in quality of life for Afghans.
